The Extremely Strange Outing

I’ve been sick all day today so I was still in my PJs with my hair in a wad when the girls and I decided to get in the car to go take pictures of a funny looking, dead squirrel. Pris was describing how hilariously cartoonish it looked, lying flat on it’s back with its front paws in the air. While we headed out, I slipped on Hopes flippin flops (as Kezzi calls them) that were conveniently sitting by the door and Pris grabbed her keys and the camera. We thought it was quite amusing and pretty funny as we looked around at each other… Pris and the camera, Kezzi with her purse, (we were only going a half a block away) Hope running to the car barefoot, (I had her shoes) and I was still in PJs. WHAT WEIRD GIRLS!

We laughed even more as we pulled over and saw that the squirrel was every bit as funny as Priscilla’s description of it. I tried taking pictures between times of the girls and I jumping into the roadside graveyard to avoid getting run over, ourselves. I’ll tell you what… we got some strange looks from some passers by. I would pay some money to know what was going through their heads… A bunch of girls, a camera, a dead squirrel, and a graveyard? What are we?? Obsessed with death or something??? Pris instructed us not to run back to the car ‘cause it would look even stranger. So, we got back and showed the boys and Mom. The boys thought it was hilarious but Mom only sighed and shook her head.

This is hilarious...grim though it be. I wish I had been there to see the thing first hand...I guess cartoons are inspired by real life after all, eh? :-)

One time I saw a dead cat, but it wasn't that funny...the creature was partly decomposed and didn't smell very fresh. Yuck!

So how sick are you? Just the common cold? Food poisoning from eating cat food? Swallowed a Frisbee? I hope for a speedy recovery!

Glad you can see the humor in all that craziness! Like I mentioned some people just shake their heads. :) I feel like there's a frisbee in my head. I have a sinus infection and I can barley squeak out, even small sentences. Even walking up the stairs wears me out. I'll be fine, soon, I'm sure.

That was definitely obnoxious of you to taunt me about Lifehouse! It might take me quite a while to get over it! ;)

I love pictures of pathetic dead animals, especially up-side-down like this one! Get better now. I hope you didn't eat any dog/cat food with all those loads of food being recalled off the shelves in wal-mart, etc, because they contain lead or other dangerous substances.

So.. is your family enjoying your not being able to talk cause of your cold? Or is it not very fun without your wonderful voice to cheer everyone up?

You know, I think it would hurt to swallow a Frisbee. It sure wouldn't feel too nice. :o

Yes Strider!!!! We are loving this voice problem. :) To give you an idea, it's probably about how your family would feel if you couldn't talk for a few days. *kidding* ;)!!

Hey, I love all creatures big and small but, this pic is just toooooo hilarious. Here all this time I have been taking photo's of live critters to put into a nature journal, as I cannot draw....now I think I'll try "road kill" as they are easier to capture...no bluring from all the moving about. What a fun adventure! Gram

Gram,
When I was younger I used to beg my dad to get into hunting and take me along... He never did but he would always say, "Well if you want to shoot animals so much why don't you get a camera and shoot them any time you want?" So that's the closest thing to hunting I've ever done. By the way, like you, I preferred taking pictures for my nature journal instead of drawing. I mean, come on, what looks more realistic? A photograph, or a drawing? I never felt capable of competing!

Flippin Flops... I like that.
You needed pics of you in PJs with hair in a wad... Did you pray for the roadkill like I probably would have?
I think I might put that pic as my profile picture. Slightly morbid, but very funny...

As yer profile pix? I vote DO IT! =)
Few and far between have seen me in PJs and a wad. It's not glamorous but some pixs out there of me are scarier then any slipper poses could be. So, I might do that one of these days. Since I have nothin' ta loose.
Kez also says "I hate FLIPPIN' burgers!!!" I think it's real funnneee! AhaHeeeHeHahaHarHar... ehem! ok it's not THAT funny.

Hah, I like the Flippin burgers too. I love Burgers.
Anyways, my profile pic is now the dead squirrel. I'm not sure what it says about me. But it's only 9, and I usually still feel kinda like roadkill at this hour.

Priscilla,

no comment on your comment. :) If what you said is true, then you guys must be absolutely loving C%ace's voice being lost. Well, I guess I just commented on your comment, which rather defeats the whole first sentence. So I guess I'll just count this as one of those obnoxious posts on C%ace's blog. :)

I guess C&ace's name is spelled with a "&", not a "%" like I spelled it in the last comment. Oh well. Sorry C&ace.

Strider,
That's ok! I thought the % gave it a nice flare. I like change every once in a while. ;)
Pris really trashed both of us. I have yet to find a way to get *sweet revenge*. Make no mistake... I will even if it is later then sooner!!!!! :)

Candy Girl said...

No. That's a good idea except she might lose a couple lbs. and fade away altogether. I have a really great one though!!! I will "forget" to dust my shoes off before I get in her car! Whoa... This is getting vicious!
